header photo request

I have been shopping for headers and I am looking at the Hedman elites. Anyone got any photos of them installed? I would like to see how they exit and how low they hang. How does the thermal coating hold up?
Thanks in advance!

Summit Ceramic Coat are a great deal and fit very well, you might give them a look.

Re: header photo request

I had looked at them, but was really wanting to stay with the ball flange collector (no gasket) ,I'm really worried about the thermal coating coming off or changing colors. Tech at hedman said it want but I would like to see someones first. I want to lower my truck a little so I want to see how low the headers hang, going to put a x pipe in.

Re: header photo request

Here's a link to some of Craig's photos of GQ. It's a 4x4 not a 2wd but it's something to look at.

Re: header photo request

71see10 if you're willing to wait, I'm gonna order the headers like LUV has on GQ sometime this week. I'm gonna trial fit them first. I'll take pics and let you know how they fit when I get them.

Re: header photo request

Matt If you are going to install the headman elites on your 68 is it 2 wheel drive? I would love to see it. How they fit and how low they are. I am hoping to put these on my 68 2wheel drive automatic.

Re: header photo request

cool 72short my concerns are how close they are to the frame and the shiftlinkage. Also how low they hang.

Re: header photo request

The headers I'm going to order are part #69830. They are for 4WD app. but the collectors dump up between the framerails. They ARE full length, not shorties. The only issues I think I can forsee will be fitting around the control arms, other than that, they should fit with no problems. The 2WD headers WILL hang below the framerails like all other headers do.
