67-68 GMC vs. Chevy... Which frontend is cooler?

Ok, so the difference in these two grills...

The Chevy has single headlights on both sides and two large ovals.



The GMC front has dual headlights and the cross.



Which do you all like better?

Me personally, I like the grille off the Chevy but I've always been a sucker for dual headlights. (Maybe because of my infatuation with "Christine").

Since you picked the 67 versions, MY favorite is the 67 GMC grill because the letters are on the grill and the duel headlights.

I would have to go with the 68 chevy also! the GMC looks chopped up with the vertical bar in the middle! If that was gone it might be a tough call!

Well the chevy look is "cleaner" so I'll vote for that but I still think GMC look is good too just "meaner"...ya dig?

chevy for 67, But if it were a 72 I would say GMC. If your 67 gmc grill was all chrome it would be a tie.

You cheated and picked a chromed out swb lowered chevy with nice rims, shiny red paint and put it up against a monochromatic flat looking pale green stock height gmc longbed with dork mirrors, the butt fugly wrap around rear bumper with some kind of 80's lookin rims.....

All that said, how could I vote against a 67 chevy?

No question - the 67-68 Chevy! Very clean and uncluttered. The GMC grills are just too huge for me.

BTW, look at the new Chevy Tahoes and Suburbans.... does this look familiar??

I agree with the above. If that had been a chrome GMC grill from '68 I would say GMC but you can tell from my avatar that I am biased. My grill is from a '71-72 but I still like it.

If you want to be different at a show I would go GMC because you dont see very many of them.. Tons of them chevys around my neck of the woods but very few GMC's.. But it all comes down to this... Its not what we like its what you like ... Make it the way you want it not what everyone else wants... Thats the way I think about changes on my truck... its all up to you lol...

I prefer the GMC because they are more rare than the Chevy. I smoothed out the letters and painted mine a dark metalic grey to contrast with the baby blue. I haven't mounted it yet, but I think with the dual headlights it will be mean looking.
