Re: help how can I mount my rear leaf springs?
Which mounts are trashed? the frame? or the axle? If it is the axle, just cut the old ones off and weld new on. If it is the frame mounts it is a bit harder! you will have to grind the heads off then pry, then heat then take the bigest BFH you can find and beat it till the mounts come off and the rivots are out of the holes. then take new mounts and bolt on. I would recomend grade 8 fine thread lock washers, then lock tight.

the mounts on the frame are already off the truck... I have nothing there anymore and need to find a good way to mount the leaf springs again... I don't have any mounts laying around so I need to find something that will work...
and yes it was a ***** to get those things off... |

well since you have no mounts I would find a junkyard that will remove a set for you. Spring mounts I refuse to improvise. Other wise keep an eye on thsat paper for someone parting a truck. If you go do the work removing those you can probably beat the Junk yard price. always make the deal before removing!!!

Re: help how can I mount my rear leaf springs?
only thing I could find in the yards around here are 2 wheel drive's do you think the 73-87 4x4 mounts would work? there are plenty of 73-87 blazers laying around but not a one 67-72 4x4...

Re: help how can I mount my rear leaf springs?
check the width, and the pin size. If those match you can make it work. If the pin size is different check the hole where the rubber bushing goes in the spring. you may be able to take the bushing out of the newer truck and put it in your springs. The spring legnth won't matter in this case cause you are moving the mounts!

Could you use the newer spring with the hangers?
