2002 - 2005 Dodge Ram 40/20/40 Seats

Has anyone put these seats in your Chevy truck? I think I will try and find a tan leather set to do in my truck (saves having to spend $800 for buddy buckets and another $500 to have them skinned in leather, I know, I'm cheap) These are only the 2002-2005 seats, the 2001 down are Mopar Fugly

I figure taking off the headrests would be just perfect for what I want. I want a low back look. I need to measure the width to see if they can work. I'm not concerned with any of the other measuremets because I can modify those. They come either manual, power driver or both power. The center folds down for an armreast, the top of the armreast opens for a cool compartment and the bottom part of the center also pulls up for even more storage.

Next step is to go to the Dodge dealer with a tape to measure the width.

You will have to cut the brackets way down (they sit way too high with stock brackets) and fab some mounting points. They are comfortable, but then again mine are still in my dodge.

Could you take some measurements for me? I will not be using the headrests.

Maybe the seat height from bottom of seat bracket to top of seat (not top of headrest)

Bottom of seat (not including seat brackets) to top of seat

Width - right to left

Depth - front to back

If not thats fine, just saves me a trip to the Dodge dealership

You say they are comfortable though, thats good. Do you have the power seats or manual?

Thanks,

Mike

When I looked at using a set in my truck, the top of the seat cushion to the floor at the front of the seats. It's about 16" for the Dodge and the stock ones are around 12" to 12.5" depending on the seat.

The brackets are not a problem...I have a Mig welder and I am not afraid to use it If the seat is too wide, that may be a problem...I guess I can always notch the doors to make it fit, right. Hopefully they are close to the same width.

59" wide and 23" depth Seat base. Add 2" for the seat to recline a hair. Also remember to measure depth of your cab from just beneath the window, as the seats hit it first.

I think they fit width wise (barely)
But since it is 3 pieces, you could use the buckets, then find a center piece from a Durango (it's narrower) or make your own.

BTW these measurements are from a 2003 Quadcab SLT
