new "CARS" movie

I normally would not admit this ... Went to see the feature cartoon movie Cars last night. Took my grandsons. If you like Nascar or just like anything with a motor, Im doing you a favor by telling you to go see it. If anyone owns a Hudson Hornet, its now worth 10 times as much!

Re: new "CARS" movie

Well, you probably are nuts ....you hang out with us

You are right about the movie, it was great especially if you know something about the history of stock cars/NASCAR. Like you said though, all you need is one piston moving upstairs and it is still great!

Never thought about the Hudson value increasing, but it would not surprise me.

Re: new "CARS" movie

The Pixar/Disney animated films are usually very well done with plenty of humor aimed at adults. I've seen just about every one. We are taking our daughter to see cars today.

Re: new "CARS" movie

Very good movie. We went a saw it at the drive-in last Sat. night. It was their yearly old car get together. Last year they showed American Graffiti. The "Cars" movie is hilarious though. Especially "mator" (Larry the Cable guy). Go see it!

Took the Wife, Son and Truck to the Drive In (How many of you still got one in your area?) And we loved it!!!!! It was a great show very funny. And I wouldlove to get a Hudson Hornet!!! I had a Automotive Teacher back in High School who had a couple of Hudsons. We thought he was crazy but actually it is a pretty interesting car!

Best line -

Mator, 'He did what in his cup?'

Great movie, I mean the kids really liked it.

Re: new "CARS" movie

We saw it yesterday. Very funny. Filled with subtile humor and there is a lot going on in the backgrounds of the croud scenes. I'll be buying it when it comes out on DVD.

On another note, I haven't been to a move in a long time. Tickets were $9.50 (3pm showing) each plus $1.00 "processing" fee for buying them online. Shouldn't they be less expensive online since they used less labor in my transaction than if I had gone to the box office? Won't be going to a theater for a while again, that's for sure.

Theatre prices are outrageous nowadays! Matinee (Or whatever the cheaper one is) is $6.50 around here and $9.50 at night.
