Changing a 2WD truck to 4WD...?

Hey all!,

I've been toying with the idea of swaping my 68 LWB body onto a 80's 4WD frame... The truck was originaly a 2WD, and I am just wondering if I will run into any problems when it's done and I go to get it registered and saftied? I'd love to do the swap and have a stout off-road rig to play around with but don't want to get it together only to find out that there is no way I will I'll be able to legally drive it. I have no idea if Canadian policies are different than that of the United States but would still like to hear what anyone would have to say regardless. Thanks in advance.

What a wonderful stable of vehicles to have when gas is +$1.00CAD/L.

There are several threads here about doing what you want to do. As far a Canada goes I have no idea.

Alright, thanks Mudder67. I have a funny feeling that I am going to have some issues with making this a legal swap. I'm going to call my local DMV and see if they can clerify things for me. But I'd still like to hear what anyone else has to say. Thanks
