4 headlamp aiming tips...

After rebuilding the front end on my 68 gmc I like to get my headlights (4) aimed correctly. Any tips for performing this without requiring any factory or dealer tools?

thanks in advance...

i always just pulled up about 10 feet from a white wall at night used a blanket to cover 3lights then adjusted 1 at a time to about 3-4foot high to the center of the beams and straight ahead

If all else fails, have someone drive your truck towards you at night on a flat stretch of road -- or drive another vehicle and have a friend follow you at night. If nothing else, you'll know if any lights are adjusted too high.

Driving at night in fog can also be helpful... easy to see where the beam is going.

Best method for me is a flat deserted road on a really foggy night, get them close first by doing the wall method. High beams should be slightly cross-eyed to converge on center of the the road about where the beam runs out, lows beams similar but lower and pointed to right side.
