blazer to pickup bucket seat conversion ?
Are the driver's side brackets on a blazer shorter than on a pickup? I have a set of blazer buckets that I am installing in a pickup, but the blazer tracks are shorter than the factory bench holes on the outside. thanks

Re: blazer to pickup bucket seat conversion ?
I thought they were the same, driver's side anyway. I thought the main difference on the passenger side was the ability to swivel it up to get into the back.
If I had a truck bucket floor I would measure the holes for you. Someone should be able to come up with those measurements.

Re: blazer to pickup bucket seat conversion ?
The blazer seat brackets won't work in a truck. They have too much of an angle and the seat back will hit the back of the truck. You have to use truck seat brackets.

The blazer seat tracks are different from the pickup seat tracks.I forget if the blazer is shorter or taller than the pickup.

Re: blazer to pickup bucket seat conversion ?
Hmmm, that's the first that I've heard of this. I always thought they were the same. I know that the holes in the floor for a bench seat won't line up with bucket seat brackets, but I always thought that driver side truck and blazer seat brackets were the same for 69-72. I have blazer brackets on my driver side seat, and aftermarket truck brackets on the passenger side in my truck. I haven't bolted them down yet, but they look like they are the same height and angle. They sit pretty good too.

Re: blazer to pickup bucket seat conversion ?
i used blazer brackets they worked just fine for many years in my C-10 you do have to drill holes for mounting them and of course reinforce the bottom of the floor //i also used the blazer passenger brackets so i could flip the seat up for storing things in back of the seats and console
