power steering pulley update
Didn't get much responce on an earlier post inquiring on correct power steering pulley number for my 72 350. Went to junkyard today and pulled as many pulleys as I could find that were the old keyway style.ended up with 9 pulleys.
Got home and cleaned up all the steering pulleys and a few crank pulleys Every pulley I got was numbered differently!!!!!!!!!!!!! Three of them had a 5/8" inset going from back pulley edge to inside center of pulley others were 1/4",1/2" ,7/8",1" , 1 1/4". No wonder it gets complicated.

Oh. My. God. Just looking at all that gives me a headache.
I think you're getting too technical there. Just pick a pulley that came off an old power steering pump and use that. |

Re: power steering pulley update
That's one more example/reason why you should get the "complete" matching system off the same truck!!!
Here's another: All three pump/pulley setups are off 67-72 trucks with v8. |
