I thought I'd drop a note on progress. I've been very busy and very lucky the last few days. I scored a big win on a NICE pair of aluminum wheels with great tires. I bought them for less than the aluminum would be worth scrap and all I need is 2 more for a nice touch to my hauler.

I also pulled the big block out of the '76 car hauler donor truck and pulled the winches off of it. A low mile 454 and turbo 400 should move it down the road quite nicely and twin Warn 8,000 pound winches should easily handle any pulling/loading needs.

The 71 hauler will be here at my shop Tuesday morning and I'll get started with the buildup. I thought it was a 72 but a longtime builder/owner of the 67-72's pointed out how to tell the difference. I hadn't even looked at the title and I was assuming that it was a 72. No big deal to me really. Thought I'd bring you up to speed and I'll post more pics as we go.

Oh yeah, I also found a 72 Cheyenne SUPER , LWB , 400/400 , air , currently blue and white but originally mustard and white. Original Arkansas truck in need of resto but complete , runs and drives. The guy wants 1,600.00 for it.
