Is the Stock AM Radio interchanagable with the stock AM/FM Radio ?

I have a stock AM radio in my K20 and recently purchased a stock AM/FM radio. Can I use the same wiring harness and connectors on both radios ?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions or links to a good replacement speaker for the stock speaker up in the dash? I thought I saw years back where someone had a stereo speaker replacement for the same location as the original one. I would still like to use the same location. Don't want to cut, nor use kick panel speakers. Thanks.

The AM harness can be used on the AM/FM radio as the plug is the same configuration.

GMC Paul has the dual speaker setup that bolts into the stock location. Here is a link:

This guy has a replacement 10 ohm speaker for Delco radios but I'm not sure if its a direct bolt in. I've delt with the guy before ..he does good work

I ended up using the 4x10" Delco Special (speaker mounted to plastic base) from www.turnswitch.com

No problems with the installation.
I picked itup in person since they are local in Minneaplis.
Friendly and great guy to deal/work with.

I can crank the AM/FM all the way up and at about 98% volume level, maybe, some distortion, but that's too loud.

Thanks for the link.

There`s no point in using two dinky speakers in place of one larger/better sounding one.Like the AM,the AM/FM is not stereo.
