Re: What a small change will do for ya
Custom wheels make a dual wheel truck something to look at when they would otherwise just see an old work truck.Do you have the 9/16" studs, now?I mounted chrome Budds on my old`70 and changed all the studs/left it 4 wheel drum since all new parts were installed.

Thanks all for the complments.
Special K, we left the smaller studs on the hubs as in the future I will be changing over to disk brakes and a later model rear end. |

Re: What a small change will do for ya
That`s what I did, too.I ran mine with the 1/2" studs and used large acorn nuts for long time and alot of hauling.I never had any problems. But,got tired of people worrying me about it.Go figure, the rear hub is smaller than the hole and the larger(1/16")holes in the wheels are non-chamfered(don`t center the lug nut on the wheel). But,it road smooth,no off-centering,or broken studs. It worked for me.
So,your truck is a former camper? That`s what mine was.Makes for a nice older one ton in better than average shape.Congrats again.

I saw one just like yours today in Asheville N.C. today at Biltmore Village. I was hauling alot of old farm equipment and I thought it was you but after I got home and looked at yur thread I reallized I must of been seeing somebody elses. It looked just like yours except not quite as clean. Nice looking truck you got there.
