Angry Hard Starting

I was driving my truck the other day when the gas pedal was sticking, so I gave it a push and she hit the floor! I let it go for a little ways(just for fun) and then shut it down. I found that my accelerator cable had kinked. I got it home and changed it out with one from a 78 chevy truck, but now it's hard to start and feels a bit like it wants to flood when I'm sitting a stop sign. I checked the timing and played with my carb a bit but it's still doing it. What's going on?

Check to see if you might have knocked off a vaccum hose or bent one and it split while changing the cable, creating a vaccum leak. Also may have stirred up some crud in the carb during the WOT ordeal, may need to dissassemble, clean carb, install rebuild kit and change filters, if it persists.

May those who love us, love us, any of those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts.
And if God is unable to turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we may know them by their limping.

A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.
