problem with trans cross member

1972 SWB putting a 454 with 350 turbo trans, cross member will not fit, the trans mount will not fit cross member, tried moving it both directions . And the headers do not hang below they stick about mid way on the cross member, they were ordered through hooker to be exact fit, could someone tell me what i'm doing wrong, Is there eny way I can check this frame to make sure it is a 72, I was told it was but i've been told lots about parts only to find out later I was took, I did come up with a set of 72 bbc frame to motor mounts and they are an exact fit, so that makes me think its the right frame, Just need someone to give a dummy advise
