Just Thanks to everyone....
Don't want to sing Koom Bi Yah or anything like that, just want to say thanks to Josh and everyone on the board that has chimed in and helped with all my questions! Credit where credit is due! I pulled this engine out of Lil' Red 3.5 years ago and many changes have happened. I have litterally changed eveything on this truck , wiring, bumpers everything that needed it to new minus the frame and sheet metal Today with help from you guys Lil' Red runs with the turn of the key...the freakin' blinkers even work.
So just a big thanks on a very special day, to me and this truck. Alex |

I said running not rolling! Need to bend the Lokar linkage, adjust TV cable, and bleed brakes, a few other things first.

I know the feeling. It doesn't matter how nice your ride is... or isn't. When you have had the dream for 3 1/2 years, and put all your extra money (or pocket chainge) into it... plus lots of blood, sweat, and beer... you'll always be happy on that maden voyage..regardless of how many parts fall off. |

Good one Dude! Yes it really doesn't matter what truck it is and how much you have or haven't spent...when the engine has sat on a stand for a long period of time...that 1st firing is always special! I am sure the maiden voyage is going to be an ear to ear grinning experience for me! Last edited by ChevyDude; 06-30-2006 at 04:31 PM. |

Re: Just Thanks to everyone....
It's all good Andy!
Can't wait til tonight when them friends/neighbors of mine (Mr.& Mrs. VW) come home.... they've never said anything negitive...but they have seen me put hours and hours of time in the garage and saw me bring it home 3.5 years ago, tear it all down....I just wonder if they ever thought...That thing is never going to run. They'll see tonight! Last edited by ChevyDude; 06-30-2006 at 05:17 PM. |

So ,Koom Bi Yah!
If you've ever heard me sing you'll join in very loudly so maybe if enough of you do it you can drown me out.

Re: Just Thanks to everyone....
I really like your truck Alex. No matter what you do, its always nice to enjoy the fruits of your labour and enjoy that feeling of accomplishment.
I'm sure as you drive down the street for the maidian voyage and hear and feel the rumble of the exhaust as you squeeze down the throttle and the trust of the engine sucks you into the seat ........for a moment.......those few too rare moments in life, that uncontrollable feeling of self-actualization will present itself and you'll know right there and then.......you know without any doubt for those few moments, you are the man, You've earned it. Enjoy!
