What's this used Air Compressor worth?
Neighbor is looking to clear out his garage. He's got a HUSKY 7 HP 60 Gal Compressor (11.7 SCFM @ 40 PSI -- 10.3 SCFM @ 90 PSI). He used to restore his el-camino. Said runs everything he had for air tools -- cut off, sanders, even paint gun.
Retails for $429.00. What is it worth used? And is this enough to meet my needs?

I think that would be enough for most peeps here, How old is it? What
condition is it in? Does it look like new? I say $100 to a MAX of $250.

Re: What's this used Air Compressor worth?
Ive been looking for something just like that in my area to no avail. It looks like I will be heading to Lowes and shelling out $500 because I NEED one but I would stick with LUV's max of $250 on the used one as long as it is in good working condition. If it is coming with some air tools....

Re: What's this used Air Compressor worth?
would work with most tools. little weak for inline sanders and sand blasting but like stated above how much of that are you going to do. You might PO your neighbor if you offer him $100.00. I'd say also a fair price would be the $225.00 to $250.00. If he didn't use it all day long and its still in good shape 1/2 price would be fair IMO. You know better than anyone the condition. These really are not real great compressors, but they are fairly inepensive and work for most people. They are noisy too.

I agree with the $250 price, but I'd say maybe as high as $300 depending on the condition. 7hp is a pretty decent sized compressor, you won't have any problems running air tools with that. Mike |

Re: What's this used Air Compressor worth?
I wouldn't consider going over $200. If he used all those tools with that compressor it's likely it beat it to death. Those compressors are simply not made to run body tools like that. They may do it for a while, but they will run all the time, get hot, etc.
