Front bumper bracket question

I will be putting a 71-72 front bumper on the 68. Are the brackets for the 67-70 the same as the 71-72, or are there differences? I have a new set of brackets that will fit the 68 and want to know if I can use them?

Re: Front bumper bracket question

No. 71-72 are different. They mount outboard more because they have to clear the park lamps in the bumper.

Re: Front bumper bracket question

The Chev 71 72 front bumper outer brackets are different.

GMC bumper brackets would be no different 67-72 and would fit 67-70 Chev.

Slight difference on occassion between drivers side if it didn't have power steering.

Then theres the 4x4 style..different again.
