72 swb 3/4 396 4 sp, sold about 10yrs ago, in process of building another1 with all the chrome trim this time,

SWB 3/4 Ton ,didnt think the factory ever made that combo ??? Anyone ever see another one?

already gone, your right they didnt make those from the factory, but you can take those plentiful long bed frames around here and cut them down for a swb body,

Thank You.. I was pretty sure about that but I'm always open to learn new things. Wouldn't a short wb 4x4 ride real rough?

well pretty much it rode about the same as a 1/2 ton 4x4, but i put a extra spring in the front to make it level, so mine actually did ride extra rough, but its kinda nice having something kinda diffrent than the norm,that way you get to talk to a bunch of people around the shows and things,

I like it.Dodge still built 3/4t shortbed 4wds until`71.GM did on the Task-Master series.I thought a 4wd was s`posed to ride rough.It wasn`t until they started building them for soccer moms and wussies that the ride matered.Tires are s`posed to hum,too.

I agree. Whenever I hear 4wd I think of my Dad's Blazer on trips to the beach, cruisin down the highway with the doors and top off. The noise the tires made always reminds me of a B-17...love it!

oh yea they ride like a wagon with stone tires, i got one i know but if you want a tuff truck that looks kool and will handel a little abuse just strap on your kidney belt and hang on. i'm building mine to tow my sawmill and skidsteer and any thing else that needs to be moved
