1998 GMC Sierra 1500 Wipers

My wipers do fine when you have them on slow but when it rains hard i have to turn them to fast and they hang up in the up position , i can hear the motor running and the the wipers wont move until i get out and jar them , any ideas ? , motor , gearbox ? thanks

My thought is a the linkage in the cowl area is binding. Maybe just needs lubricated or is slightly out of adjustment. Could also be the wiper motor/circuitry also since those were issues on these year trucks.binding

Well , It turned out to be my wiper motor board , if anyone else has this problem , remove the board from the housing and re-solder the connections closest to the motor wiring plug , it will be as good as new plus save you some cash on a new board.

That was my 1st thought (circuit board). Removed mines cuz of same problems but didnt find any of the solders gone bad. Cleaned off and placed back in. Worked for a few days and then stopped. And thats were im at right now. Possible pics of that one ya resoldered would be great.
