Urethane is the way to go PPG with a hvlp gun at around 8 pounds of air,I have been using this system for years and you can put down some glass paint jobs.Lauqer is out dated now a days anyway.Try it you will love it.Geo spray guns is a good brand they are from france and a little high but they are awsome.I have had mine 10 years and works like brand new.It was around 600.00 back then.Good luck

Re: Anybody know laquer paint please help!!!

I'm using laquer because PPG couldn't mix the original colors in 2 stage paint. I bought an hvlp gun and I'm going to try it out today. thanks for the help.

Re: Anybody know laquer paint please help!!!

Tell them to take a "profit" of your color and they can mix it for you and then tint to match to get exactly where you want to be and then do a spray out of the color before you paint your entire truck with it. We just painted a 64 impala all original car 19,000 miles and did it that way. Customer was tickled.
