30 more min and you woulda had it on the floor, and then you could be cleaning it all in the morning.
Before I make remarks full of sarcasm... how hot are you calling hot?

talked to the sister-in-law yesterday, and she says it's HOT. She lives in the valley also. I used too live out there and remember having to do your work on your toys in the mornings before the sun starts cooking. Dry heat my A**, it's HOT !!

yes, yes it is. its horrible, you wake up eairly, work, get all greasey, take a shower, then have the rest of the day to watch your truck bake out in the heat and not do a thing about it.

the humitity, not an ounce of moisture in the air. the early mornings are full of moisture, dew in the grass..... then my 10 or so your breathing all the evap. water, then my 11 or later, its all gone. nothing but a heat that you cant excape. no soda to be found in our garrage, just a couple cans of copenhagen and massive amounts of h2o.

then again i live in the "sub-urbs" out skirts of visalia kinda. orchards about 500 yards away and everything else around us is dry empty fields..... the city is expanding our way now tho..... time to move...

Re: Where did it all go?? haha

ive worked in califorina in the 100's.. you guys need to come to neb or kansas for that matter.. ive seen 101 deg with 100%humidity.. worked in it all day cause of our stupid foreman, one guy on our gang got heat exhaustion.. 100 without humidity is nothen compared to 90 deg with high humidity. believe me i have worked in both and still do, thank god we havent seen alot of the high 90's or 100's for that matter around here lately, probably see it next mounth.

anyways i can apreciate not working on a hobby in the heat. thats what its for is to enjoy and no one can enjoy working in the heat no matter how hot...

Re: Where did it all go?? haha

You think we have it any better up here?? I've been working on my '70 GMC all weekend and it's 90F + with no shade to park the truck in!! On a good note the truck sat for 4 years and I was told the starter was shot at the very least, thank god that guy didn't have a clue and a $26 fuel pump later it fired right up.

I'd like to build a garage with a/c but that would just take money away from the truck, lol.

Re: Where did it all go?? haha

A few days last summer I was working in the KC area, outside all day, and the heat index was 115. Air temp was around 95 or so, but the high humidity pushed the index way over 100. Missouri and Kansas were actually the hottest places in the USA that week, due to the heat index. Hotter than Las Veagas or Pheonix. The heat doesn't bother me much though, I'll go on my 4 mile daily run at 4pm when the heat index is around 97 or so, and just sweat out a lot of water. I'm hoping to move to Texas about this time next year, and the idea of warm winters sounds pretty good.

Re: Where did it all go?? haha

For the last 3 months, I've been staring at my snowmobiles, wishing as hard as I can that it would start snowing again............. So far all I've gotten is rain

I remember doing a three week wildland firefighting assignment near Austin, Texas about 5-6 years ago. 105* plus temps and around 50%-60% humidity. Thought my scrawny butt was gonna die!
