Anyone have a factory A/C system they want to sale?
I would like to put factory air in my truck and don't like what I see in the aftermarket department. If anyone has a complete or mostly complete factory system, please let me know your price. thanks

Don't know about mostly complete, but I do have the parts that bolt to the cab on inside and under hood if you're interested.

I'd be interested in a complete setup also, how much do you sell them for and what about if my current truck is not setup for AC?

MUNYPIT70--not trying to cut in on those above me, but if they are not interested--what do you want for the inside vent box?. I think it's called the diverter box. It's mounted under the part of the dash where the controls are, left of the glovebox. Thanks, Matt

the cab is basically done, floors are gone, rockers are gone. Its bad, i just figured whoever took it could pull the a/c stuff and cut up the cab.

Re: Anyone have a factory A/C system they want to sale?
I just got a really nice original Super with AC. It has never been pulled, so the boxes, controls, even def hoses are all perfect and in place. You would need someone to pull it and ship it. You can have all of it for $300---even the dash! (Not the engine brackets)
Remember, those divertor boxes are ALWAYS broken! Buy a new one, if you can, or plan on some elaborate reinforcing/rebuilding after you get a used one. They break where the plastic flapper molds around the little shaft and it is hidden by the rubber seal. If you have heat coming out the AC vents, the flapper is broken. Nice truck!
Just need the diverter box though. I epoxied mine and it is so-so. If I can score a good used one then great. if not I will fix mine. Still cheaper than shelling out a-hundred bucks for a repop. Thanx, Bud |
