Has anyone ever...

Has anyone ever painted their exhaust system with high temp engine enamel? I'm not thinking of trying to make a system last as long as a stainless one, just wondering if it would extend the life of the system a couple of years over normal.

I have used flat black that was high heat resistant. They still look good.
