Rewiring question.... please help

how long would you think is a reasonable amount of time to allow someone with decent rodbuilding abilities to completely rewire a 70 1/2ton? its a Ron Francis kit... lastly, for those that have paid someone to do this for them, any idea what a fair fee would be? thanks

btw, I did post this in the electrical section but got very little looks.

Re: Rewiring question.... please help

If it takes over a day that's too long, with a pre-assembled harness like those (or at least like Painless Wiring). When I was building custom conversion vans, if we built the entire harness from scratch, about a half a day. If the harness was pre-built, 1-3 hours depending on how many circuits were ran.

But to be fair, I have completely redone the wiring in my truck, but have never installed a new harness in one of our trucks.

Re: Rewiring question.... please help

I spent abouy 8 hours installing my painless kit yesterday, the most time consuming part was wrapping everything in loom and making sure everyhting was neatly routed, havent tried hooking up power yet, hopefully everything works.

Is your truck a running driving truck or is it apart for a resto and you rewired it. I want to rewire mine this coming winter and my truck will be together. I'll probably take the seat out for easier under dash access.

Re: Rewiring question.... please help

the truck is a budgeted frameup moneypit!(like most others....) its about 90% completed, we are stuck on the finals of the vintage air, the wiring is a completely new kit its about 1/2 done, need the exhaust and then gonna start up the crate for the 1st time. Interior is not even close... I will just put in a carpet kit and seat cover, etc.
