WIW - Blazer Stuff

Hey guys, some of you may or may not know that things are a changing
around here at my place, so I am trying to gather some info before I do
any final decision making, this is NOT a for sale thread, I just need good
ol honest feedback, don't hold back, my feelings do not get hurt easy

1. Blazer tub, auto, a/c and w/ or w/out the front clip that's on it (2wd)

2. Blazer rolling chassis, np205, turbo 350 and w/ or w/out the motor (GQ)

3. 71/72 Complete front clip, all repops, hood, fenders, grill, inners, rad (GQ)

Considering "GQ's" body on my 2wd frame, but need a lil $ to make it work

I'm just guessing here..
1) $500-700 out of the bare tub. Not sure if the front clip adds much more value.

2) This is a completely redone chassis with everything new so I'd guess $1000-2500. The wheels and tires may bring the value up above that number. Not sure what all is done to the motor, so add the value on top of that. Is it painted or powder-coated? If you put the tub on top and sell as a complete unit, I would guess it is worth more.

3) Add up the price of repop items and then deduct 20-30% (for technically being used). $1200-1500? Why wouldn't you just save this for your project?

Looked at all the GQ pics.... kind of a shame? All of that stuff is REALLY nice, but pricewise my only guess is that's it's all worth a good bit less than what you have into it

Well if your gonna dismantle a stained glass window because the view is not
what you originally wanted then you may as well go all out (67/68 Nose)

i would take a REAL GOOD LOOK at the 2wd frame before i made any decisions to see if it is bent or rusted out anywhere.

as for the tub we need pics you know that

frame has everything been rebuilt or just cleaned and painted? gear ratio? posi? i have around 4k in my swb 4x4 frame and axles but it is powder coated and everything is rebuilt

front clip i would say $700 if it has a cowl hood 800-1000

as for the engine if it is as good as you say it is i would use it in the 2wd. you would be a fool not to

Keith, gonna try Evil bay 1st, the pic's of the 2wd tub are in my siggy,
yes I have a cowl hood, as for the 4wd chassis the PO said everything
was either new or rebuilt, and I believe it's powdercoated, all the other
spec's are in my siggy under the 4wd, along with all the parts listed

I would say 2500.00 for your rolling chassis on the 4wd, all new parts professionally done. You could not duplicate it for that money. Your motor I would say around 3000.00, your 2wd tub I would say around 700 hundred. Personally I would keep the motor for the 2wd. You could not build another one for 3000.00. It is running and driving, you know what is in it and how it runs.

I would pull it completely apart and sell in as small of pcs as possible to increase your marketability most won't want a complete chassis etc because of the "I can always build it cheaper myself mentality" Anyone who is into cars bikes or trucks will tell you buying a project is always more expensive to finish than finding a completed vehicle that you can drive and enjoy at the time of purchase, and a completed one is also less likely to induce burnout if the project is too involved or too costly for the person doing the work. What's it worth? One word : Priceless......Our Chevy's are only going up in value and you seem to be an avid enthusiast so why sell?

i think the worst thing going fo you if you part it out is most people wont want to drive cross country for a chassis and youll be lucky to find a cheap ass tennessean to pay good money for it lol.............

Keith I fear that will be my biggest issue, around here nobody buy's this
stuff, even if the prices are good, and they will be, it might not sell

and clip clarrification for pricing, it's a Goodmark cowl hood, Goodmark fenders
Goodmark inner fenders, Goodmark core support, and GM inner / outer grill

Keith since you have done this quite a bit more than me, how would
you sell the rolling chassis? what would be a fair price to move it? if
I sell it rolling should I include everything? I was basically thinking of
pulling the Motor and letting the rest of it go (Trans, Tcase, Tank, &
frame, axles, lift, wheels, tires, and I was gonna include title and Vin
plate, and then maybe extra's like the bumpers & all brackets with it)
or I could part it out?, but man that's some what of a pain being in a
small city, everything has been gone through or it's new, has all new
SS brake lines, braided caliper lines, new brakes, etc, you name it

to be honest i would give ebay 1 shot at it complete if it doesnt sell then i would sell the frame, axles, driveshafts, trans and transfer for around 2500-3k and i would keep the bumpers for the 2wd and sell the brackets and all the little pieces seperate

Luv, why don't you try selling GQ complete on Ebay first? Set the reserve at your bottom line and see what happens. You can post a link to your cardomain site for more pictures and the complete story. It will only set ya back a week as far as timeline goes.

imo there are only 2 ways to get your $$ out of it 1 finish the thing and drive it(which i would do)
2 is to sell it as a prodject in whole to someone that wants a blazer,as the tub is worth more than anything else imo.

i just saw a repop front clip from a vendor minus the grill on ebay for 999 so don't expect more than $1200

Thanks guys, it's gonna run a 10-day on Evil bay as a complete unit,
2 questions, what should the starting price be, and do you get extra
charges if peeps bid on it and it don't sell? Yellow69 just got a $70+
bill for trying to sell his mower, and it didn't go, when he submitted I
think he said it was gonna be either $8 or $18, but that's a big dif

There's a $40 dollar insertion fee (that sounds a little dirty!) with standard stuff. If you add more pictures and a reserve, the costs goes up. If she sells (ie a bidder meets your reserve), it will cost you another $40. I listed my 48 last summer and after I added all the pics I wanted and a reserve, my total cost was $80 something. Had it sold, it would have been $120. Good luck with the sell. I'm sure a lot of folks will be watching.
