700r4 Installation

I have a Th350 in my 72 truck now, two wheel drive, two pieces drive shaft, want to install a 700r4. Have found a kit for the electrical overdrive downshift.

Question is, will the 700r4 be a swap ? Thrans mount and drive shaft legth.

I got lucky. I converted my 3 on the tree to a TH350 about 15 years ago and ended up with a long tailshaft TH350 which is real close to the 700R4 length which meant I could use the same driveshaft. All I had to do was shove the crossmember back a few inches and call it good! I think the two types of tailshaft housings are 6" and 9" (in that vicinity). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
