Rare Purple Factory Colour??

I was surfin the Trader and came across this Truck. What do you think?

If it's true I'm starting to wonder if Canada was the land of wacky colours for GMC/Chevy trucks in the old days

Here's a link http://www.canadatrader.com/result/d...&pgno=15&srt=1

Re: Rare Purple Factory Colour??

Would love to see the glove box id on that one.
From the pic it's hard to tell but looks like after market ford mirrors on it which would have different bolt holes than factory mirrors. So either body work was done and repainted or there are some extra holes in the doors

Re: Rare Purple Factory Colour??

Actually, those are probably generic auto zone mirrors, very close to the for mirrors, but more likely to buy those when dolling up a truck than ones off of brand X.

Re: Rare Purple Factory Colour??

The colors were pretty standard back then. It`s the colours that were unusual.Ahh,those wacky Canadians, what are they gonna do next?Lime green, purple, and pink trucks...I guess our northern friends have been ahead of the times all along.
