will a 67 -68 hood fit on the other years ??

this was mentioned in the pie cutting thread but has anyone done it ?what did it take ? i know where a flawless 67 hood is at . and thought about this mod . thanks for any input on this and if this is considered a double post , sorry mods ...... tom

The 67-68 hoods slope down to the grille at a more gradual rate. The 69-72 end of the hood drops off suddenly. Meaning you would need new fenders and clip. Unless you plan on modifying the hood otherwise.

i should have asked what mods would have to take place for a 67 hood to fit on a later front clip

I don't see why it wouldn't work, aren't GMC fenders just 67-68 fenders?

it won't work without mods. The GMC has some things done to make it work, that large ghrome piece on top doea more than just look pretty, it hides mismatch body lines.
