Cwilke how difficult was it to replace your vent wndow rubber and how are you window operation since they sat out in the sun all day. I want to do mine but I was advised that you need ajig to do it perfectly otherwise they will never be the same, I think this guy might have been trying to sell me new ones for some $350.00 for the pair

Re: vent window rubber

I've consulted on this with a trusted mechanic who makes his living on these trucks. He said he used to replace the rubber before they started remanufacturing these. He complained that no matter how carefull he was he could never quite get them right. He strongly advised new vent windows over rebuilding. That's whatIm going to do.

Hope this helps.

Re: vent window rubber

Yeah, it sucks. Plus I found that the bottom channel of my driver side was rusted out when I took it out. Too bad these damn things are so expensive or I'd replace mine (the seals look nice, but I'm never gonna open it again).
