Newbie From Ohio
My name is James Gallick, and I am new here. I have a 1969 C10 with a 1992 stepside bed. It has a 350 in it and it is my daily driver. This seems like a really great place to learn more about these trucks.
Once I can buy something else to drive daily this thing will be redone with an original stepside bed. I'm thinking about a rat rod theme (flat black with red painted wheels and whitewall tires). Last edited by 1969C/10; 07-27-2006 at 04:06 PM. |

Re: Newbie From Ohio
Welcome...glad you are restoring it and using an original bed soon. I don't think those newer ones look right on these trucks.

Re: Newbie From Ohio
I understand....when it's time, the bed you have should bring enough $$$ to get the one you want.

Re: Newbie From Ohio
I was keeping my mouth shut on the bed thing. You looking for a step side, or a fleet? I MIGHT know where there is a short step, but the guy wants quite a bit for it.

Re: Newbie From Ohio
Yeah, people see my bed and go 'oh that is nice,' but I know they are thinking it looks bad. I would like a short step if you have a hook up I would be willing to pay good money for a clean one. Just let me know.

Re: Newbie From Ohio
As far as learning more about these trucks,if the members of this board don't know it,it doesn't exist.
Welcome to the board!!!

Re: Newbie From Ohio
A big welcome the Northern part of Ohio. Nice looking truck you have there. When the time is right and you have all your parts to start on it you'll have all the info you need from this site.
