advice on hitch setups

I got my hitch in a hurry.....went back to the place that said they couldn't do it, talked to someone who wasn't 18 and got a guy who said "yeah, we can do that, just gotta check a couple to see what fits" (knowledge and experience is priceless!).
Anyway, I got the hitch, but now I need a tongue/sleeve and ball, what is the best setup, and where can I find one?
