Welcome from NW Austin, 183 and McNeil. I love the color of your truck. Have a similar color in mind for mine. If I ever get that far.

Welcome from Maryland. Very nice truck. What brand valve covers are those? Hope mine turns out that good.

Re: New guy from Round Rock Texas PICS.

Thanks for the comments. I'll post more as I get them off the camera.
And yes, it's a pretty quick truck. Nothing scary, but quick. Paint is the only big thing I need. Right now it has bucket seats out of a '71 blazer which are for sale. I am having my bench seat redone and it's going back in shortly.

For the austin/RR guys....
So have ya'll heard that the Home Depot parking lot scene on Saturday nights is over? Supposedly they are moving the show to the Albertsons parking lot at 1431/183.

Re: New guy from Round Rock Texas PICS.

The valve covers are a couple of years old. The brand is Weisco and are available on summit or jegs. The ONLY aluminum polish to use in my opinion is Mothers Billet Polish.

Re: New guy from Round Rock Texas PICS.

Welcome from Round Rock! I'll keep an eye out for you. I generally waive when I see one of our trucks. Saw two GMCs on the road this morning on the way to work.

I didn't hear the homedepot thing was moving. I was thinking about going up there tomorrow evening, I live right down the road from there.

Several people I talked to said that The Statesman ran an article about it and the crowds got really big the last few weeks.

I WAS heading out there this week too. And I have been hoping to bring the truck before the end of summer.

Re: New guy from Round Rock Texas PICS.

I checked out the article on Statesman.com and the comments. Looks like some people are going to Wolf Ranch in Georgetown and others may try Albertsons. Apparently, Wolf Ranch has been wanting something like the Home Depot meet. I may drvie up there this evening to see if that location is getting any legs.
