New shoes on the Blaze! Finally!
Finnaly got new wheels and tires for my 72. I will be doing a rear shackle flip and trying to track down a rear 6" spring for the front to be able to clear the tires better.
They are 38/15.5/16 Mickey Thompson MTZ's on 16x10 Helo Maxx 6 rims. Let me know what you think of them!

Re: New shoes on the Blaze! Finnaly!
Thanks guys, The line hanging down is the tranny vacume line, The motor isnt in it at the moment so the headers are hanging awkward too. Im trying to get the engine together again so i can drive it now!
I took some lighter pictures and moved some cars in the driveway so i could get some better shots, Ill upload them here in a minute.

Re: New shoes on the Blaze! Finnaly!
Mine have both sizes on them. M/T only does metric sizes for the 16" rims... i dunno why. But in the 15's like yours they are standard.. go figure

Re: New shoes on the Blaze! Finnaly!
let me know he these wear. I really need somefeedback and suggestions.
I sold my swampers so i need new shoes too. I'm really thinking hard about the toyo 38x14.5x17 but i really cant afford new wheels and they dont come in 15" only the 37x14.5 do. So the M/T are my second choice but they are over $300 a tire where the toyo's are $265 a tire.

Re: New shoes on the Blaze! Finally!
ClassicStyle- Love the yukon! Ive always liked the GT's Those are a great choice for tires.
Igor- Im here in Corvallis OR, and the neighbors suburban is actually my roomate/co-worker jeremy who lives in my house haha. And it needs some work, we are in the middle of puttin it together. makovai- Ill let you know on the mileage as i am very curious myself, they seem like a very riged/solid tire so i expect good things. Ya they are expensive but i like them because noone else around here has them on there rig let alone a first gen k5.... between wheels and tires i spent $510 per corner...

Re: New shoes on the Blaze! Finally!
Blizz- the cage luckily was done before i got my hands on it. As far as i know it was done at a shop in Eugene OR, If i can find the previous owners # i will ask him. I got it from him painted and with the roll bar rollin on 33's I did the interior and wheels, tires, painted the cage, engine work (twice now) and tinted the top to match the factory windows up front.
I have a single wall top in *ok* shape (hence it being off as much as possible) and i can just barely fit my pinkie between the main bar and the top. It fits nice and snug, no rubbing.

Re: New shoes on the Blaze! Finally!
I bought a pair of superlift fronts, 6" for $300 with bushings, and the 8" were the same price. You can also get skyjackers without a kit. I bought 6" for the rear, but they are ez'er to get becuase they are the same all the way from 1967-1988 but the fronts are getting harder to find.
