control arms needed?

hey guys whats goin on...i just recently put on my new rims/tires and it lifted the front end up..im runnin a 265/35/22 and was wondering if im gonna need tubular control arms to get the front to lay out..right now the crossmember is about 2 inchs or so off the ground..i want to get the crossmember laid out first so i dont have to make a bigger z than have too...thanks alot guys!

Tubular control arms aren't going to give you any additional clearance.

If you get plenty of lift I would check into cutting down the bottom cup a bit. Just make sure it wont rub if you cut it down. Im assuming you have spindles already and an upper plate, lower cup setup.

yea have that already and the bottom cup is cut down to 1 inch already

Take out the lower cup and weld a flat plate in the control arm. That might get you another inch.

If the truck is an 86 you dont need a lower cup just bolt it to the LCA. They are big enough. Just make sure to debur it and clean it all up.

i just ordered lowers so as soon as i get them im gonna put them in and see if it helps....im gonna put them in without the cup also so.....

Are you also running dropped spindles on the truck?

yea i got 3 inch drop spinedles on there with a suicidedoors upper plate with a slam re-82
