67-68 grille

HI,
I have new molding for the grille on my 67,and when I went to install it, I found that my grill has been pushed back from a front end colision. I have been looking through my catalouges and and no one seems to sell the grille that goes behind the mouding. Does anyone know where I can find a new grill? Someone has to make it.

Thanks

I dont think they are repopping the grills for 67 - 68 trucks. Ive looked too. I want to convert my 69 suburban to a 67. Luckily my buddy is going to give me the grill off his 68. My only suggestion would be to check the parts forum. Or have yours straightened by a reputable body shop?

Re: 67-68 grille

Actually I don't remember seeing one being repoped.I think you should be able to find one easily enough here on the parts board. They're not rare and most of the people who are parts vendors part a few trucks too.however without subscribing to the BB you can't access that part of the site. You could try Christiansclassictrucks.com or look at the home page for this sites vendor list.

BTW subscribing to the board is only $25.00 and helps keep the site running and pay for upgrades.
There's more info in the stickies at the top of each page.

Re: 67-68 grille

I actually have two 67 trucks. One has been for sale and I have been slowly taking parts off of it. I guess I have another part to steal.

As far as joining it is something I plan to do. I have gotten a ton of info off of this site, and everytime I have a question someone usually leads me in the right direction. I think I owe $25 for what I have already taken.

Is pay pal the only way to pay??

Re: 67-68 grille

I can't find the link to foward it to you but, go to (chevyduty.com)
Its been a while since I've looked there and I can't seem to get it to load for me now, don't know if its their site having trouble or my computer giving trouble.

Like I said I'm not 100% sure about them having it but I think I can remember seeing an ad for either year 67 or 68 repo grills.

If I am able to get linked up to it I will put the link on here for you.

Re: 67-68 grille

I dont think they are called chevyduty anymore. Maybe someone can chime in here of the new company name. I heard they were being sued for using the name "chevy" in their name.

Re: 67-68 grille

Chevy Duty is now at classicparts.com. I just looked in their catalog and didn't see a repo 67-8 grill.

Re: 67-68 grille

Chevy Duty had a repop listed on their website a few months ago for $250 but when they changed their name to Classic Parts of America and updated their website it was taken off for some reason.

Re: 67-68 grille

go to Parts for Sale and post WTB if you become a supporting member--- 67-68 southern US grill needed (usually about $100) --shipping is the nasty part --- you might also call

Outback Truck Parts
5526 Avanak St
Spring, TX 77389-4501
(281) 350-9072

they and others have some good used parts
