I think they look out of place on a 4x4. Look good on a 2wd though.

A fair bit lower at the nose, might make enough difference to be valid. I'm thinking about doing for that reason on my off road blazer. |

I don't think it would be worth the effort, especially on your tank of a truck. If a few inches of tree or something get in your way, just run over it!

Re: Pics of Blazers with 67 or 68 front clips?
I have to agree. But...if you want to do it because you like the look, then do it. I think the 67/68 front ends look great on 4x4's and 2wd's.

Do you have to change the fenders to put the 67-68 grill and hood on?

Re: Pics of Blazers with 67 or 68 front clips?
On a Blazer. A Jimmy will have the same fenders as a 68 Chevy. You will still have to change the hood/grille/radiator support.

Re: Pics of Blazers with 67 or 68 front clips?
I have a 68 on my 4X4 Blazer, I think 2 or 4 wheel drive looks great. I also think that there are a lot Blazers with that nose on it as well. I think mine will be on ebay in a week or two after I finish replacing the rocker and putting the new carpet in it. I'll try to post a pict, oh did I mention it has a 454 in it too?!

Anybody got any pics of how one would have looked if GM would have made one in 67 or 68?

That is still one of the original pics from when I bought it. It hasn't changed much on the outside. Inside I put in a new stereo system, a quick slap together for Hot August Nights in 2001 or 2002, I believe. Under the hood it has a new motor, intake, carb, and a billet dress up kit (valve covers, air cleaner, etc.). Last edited by 72 2wd Blazer; 08-25-2006 at 01:17 AM. Reason: add'l info, typos too. |
