Help!! Brake Pedal Won't Come Back Up

My brake pedal won't come back up after being applied with engine running, but when I unhook the vaccum line going to the booster, it comes back up right away, could it be the booster or possibly the valve thingy(have no idea what it is called) on the vaccum line going to the booster. PS the booster is from a 92 chev truck if that matters

Re: Help!! Brake Pedal Won't Come Back Up

Its a new setup, but a junyard booster, thinkin mabye the rubber inside the booster got hot when i welded the rod to make it longer, just a series of spot welds so it didnt get to hot , and I cooled it down right away. Is there a way to test the booster? or what about bleeding it again?

Follow this thread for how to check a booster.

You might try to spray your favorite monkey piss (wd40?) on the linkage pivots BETWEEN the booster and the firewall. I've had them rust up and cause soome problems like that.

Spray them and pump the holy crap out of the pedal. Spray and repeat....spray and repeat....spray and repeat.

Worth a try.
