What do I have here? (Posi)
It looks similar to a 12 bolt truck posi, but is a couple of inches wider, and has a few other small differences. Can anyone identify it?

Re: What do I have here? (Posi)
I dont see the deal on the outside of the case that swings out to lock...or split the carrier in half.....that looks a lot like the clutch type posi in my 12 bolt.

Re: What do I have here? (Posi)
Might be off a bit here . However; Looks similar to the M-1009 Blazer the military use. Thinking they were Dana 44 in the rear. My .02%

Re: What do I have here? (Posi)
I don't think it's a gov lock. Could be the Dana I guess. ??? Here is a pic of it on the right compared to a 12 bolt '72 chevy 1/2 ton 4:11 posi on the left.

Re: What do I have here? (Posi)
Ok this thing is still sitting around my shop and I still don't know what it fits. It is for 30 spline axles. I was told that it is from a chevy truck, but must be 3/4 ton? Any ideas?

Re: What do I have here? (Posi)
There were quite a few leaf spring 1/2 ton 2wd with dana 44's in them . I have a 67 gmc rear in my 68 and it is a dana 44. I don't know if that is what the center section fits cause I have never opened mine up . If it is I would be very interested.

Re: What do I have here? (Posi)
I think it looks like an Eaton unit with that thick ring gear back plate, but the single spring makes me not sure.
