F/S 68 GMC suburban seats inc. buddy buckets

Complete set of 3 seats from a 1968 GMC suburban. Very nice overall, but will need recovering, foam looks good. Bottom rails on outside of buddy bucket frames will most likely need some work (metal is a little thin there). Includes all original brackets. $550. Don't want to separate the buddy buckets. No way to pack/ship these, so pickup in central NJ. I could meet/deliver up to 200 miles from zip 08015 for $ 1.00 mile, but would prefer pickup. Other pictures available if serious.

Re: F/S 68 GMC suburban seats inc. buddy buckets

i would take those in a heartbeat if it didnt cost twice as much as the price of the seats to ship em...unless someone has a suggestion on shipping? sheesh...just read no shipping. sigh.

I am interested in the buckets, don't have use for the others, or a place to store them. Let me know.

It's actually a quote from Will Ferrell on SNL mocking Sean Connery on Jepordy.
REALLY amusing skit. Allex trebeck ended up fileing charges against Ferrell for slander or something... and Ferrell had to stop doing the skit.

Re: F/S 68 GMC suburban seats inc. buddy buckets

I met Trebeck in Bosnia in 96, let me just say that he is a a$$. I still want the buddy seats as well but can't do anything (but make a couch!) out of the rest.

What's he gonna sue me for... my total net value? He makes more sitting on his butt for 30 min than my total net worth. ($$ wise) I'd just tell him to p*ss off.
I'd LOVE to have a bunch of green seats in my place as furniture... There's even a cubby hole in the buckes formy remotes.

Re: F/S 68 GMC suburban seats inc. buddy buckets

LOL
In all reality, when I lived in tx, we were forced to live in a trailer. The storage shed was packed full of crap that didn't fit in the house. (house???) So when i first got the old GMC, the carpet was trashed. It had more grease and dirt than your favorite junk yard. I pulled the seat out and took a week or so to clean the carpet. Scrub some here, scrub some there, take it to the coin op carwash...
I set the seat in my son's room. He pulled his foot locker up to it as a coffee table, sat down, popped his feet up, and said... "Where's my TV dad?"
4 year olds can be hell, but they do the little things like this that just make you smile and be happy, no matter how hellish the rest of your life may be.

Heh heh, yeah.I think they`re born knowing more than us,but we make`em forget by the time they`re teens.
I saw Harry`s pictures here and I thought,"theater seating."I` should buy these for my place the way things are around here.

I'm interested in the buckets, but isn't the fold-down "buddy" piece missing? I'm in S. Jersey near Moorestown/Cherry Hill.

Burb buddy buckets don't have the back rest on the center seat. Only truck buddy buckets.

I thought the burb/panel buddy buckets had the back rest, and it was able to flip up and stand on it's own since there was nothing for it to rest on, in the trucks it just leans on the fuel tank.

I'm like, 99% positive on this.

Re: F/S 68 GMC suburban seats inc. buddy buckets

Hmmmmm, I'm pretty sure the Burb buckets don't have a back on the middle seat. The set that I owned didn't and the other couple of sets that I have seen didn't have a back.

Re: F/S 68 GMC suburban seats inc. buddy buckets

The lower center console boxes are different between the sub buddy bucket and the truck buddy bucket...for the truck buddy top part the hinge point is about 4 inches higher to give it the proper pivot point. The truck buddy seat has a rear section that is much higher.
Whats shown in the orginal top pic is corect 68 sub buddy buckets and all the other seats too...it's a good find for someone that needs a whole set. Not often seen in a whole set. If it were close I might even be tempted.

The sub buddy buckets didn't have a top section that flipped back.

This add at top above is a correct description as listed.
