Gcvwr
Hello all,
I am transferring a title from MD to PA. (moved) MD title has n/a for GVWR & also for GCVWR. My tag in the door has the GVWR but doesn't have a GCVWR. The PA notary wants this for the new title. I read on one site that back in 72, they didn't really designate a GCVWR. Can someone point me in the right direction to find a GCVWR if my truck has one? (72 GMC half ton) Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: Gcvwr
Use the GVWR from the door sill plate. Make a rubbing with a piece of paper and a pencil for proof. In PA the Registration fee varies based on the rating. Yours is probably 5000. The Notary should be content with that.
Welcome to PA!

Re: Gcvwr
Thanks you sir. I went down there with a rubbing of the vin, which is all they said I needed along with the title from MD. They then said since the info wasn't on the title, a certified mechanic has to fill out a change of title
form. I'll head back down with this stuff and hope it goes through this time. Thanks again |
