Re: some new pixs of burb

Cool, I like the front bumper and the diamond plate interior. Is it aluminium diamond plate or chrome?

Re: some new pixs of burb

Hey ron it is diamond-plate aluminum pretty thick stuff got lucky and got at a local welding and fabricateing shop 4x8 sheet for 75.00 bucks had enough to fill in front bumper area and to make some rear interior panels and a little more for some small stuff,it was already pretty shiney but I used some MOTHERS aluminum polish and buff alittle and wa-la.I need to get some bigger tires prolly 33x12.50x15's would look good, don't want to go too big on acount of SIX-BANGER.Thanks Randy

Re: some new pixs of burb

I'm thinking about doing some custom panels with mine, making some engine turned panels out of aluminium or stainless. I'll figure that out when I get there.

Re: some new pixs of burb

How is it for noise? I am sure in an old 4X4 it probably doen't matter, but I was thinking bare metal may make it seem pretty loud? I like the idea though, maybe dyno mat behind it would help?

Re: some new pixs of burb

Cool 4x4 I'm looking into getting a 68 burb and setting it on a 93 3/4 ton 4x4 frame any suggestions? Things to watchout for when buying/building a burb?

Re: some new pixs of burb

Well if you find one it more than likely have rust in the usuall places rockers just about all the lower panels, but out west you might find one with little to no rust that would help alot,as for doing a complete body swap looks to be alot of work but what do I know ask these other guys,I'm sure someone here has done that kind of swap your talking about.Oh bye the way BURBS rock.

Looking good,Randy. How is that thing geared?I`m thinking a 4wd Suburban with a 6cyl/3spd would have some fairly low gearing, like no higher than 3.73.I`d guess 4.10s.It should handle bigger tires just fine,up to 35s.

Re: some new pixs of burb

special-K it has 3:73 gears. My old blazer had 307,3spd,4x4,3:73 gears also, but with more power with 307,so right now i can cruise about 60 mph on interstate with about 2800 rpms, that ole six banger justa humming,so with 33's it should drop my rpm's down some, but will loose some power,so one of these days I'll have to rebuild the six banger, maybe alittle big bigger cam.right now it's my daily driver.but can't beat the GAS mileage.
