Valve covers for sale

Bought these for my 388 stroker motor but wouldnt clear the roller rockers. They are tall enough, just not wide enough. They are black powdercoated aluminum and never been bolted on or ran. Asking 100 bucks plus shipping or possible trade for other valve covers?

Re: Valve covers for sale

Arrgh, if those were polished I'd really like to have 'em!

Are you using aluminum rockers?
Reason for asking is I have Comp Cams Magnum roller tip rockers on Trick Flow Twisted Wedge aluminum heads and was curious if these style covers would clear on mine.

Bump for ya!

Re: Valve covers for sale

67chevy2wd.....I didnt get bolts with them. I was going to put the ARP valve cover studs in. They make it easy to put them on and take them off, keeps the gaskets in line too.

Not neccessarily in the market at the momoent but if you had the cleaner too I would have come up with something.
Take me out of line but if you still have them down the line...

454_72_4x4. Here is a pic of my rockers now. 1/8th of an inch and they would probably clear.

Re: Valve covers for sale

67sss, this may be slightly off topic, it is hard to tell for sure from the pics, but i wonder if you need slighty longer pushrods ? Are you running a small base circle cam for crank clearance ? The geometry looks off to me from the picture angle, .100 longer pushrods just might let the rockers clear the valve covers. Just a thought.
