Is it possible to......... HEI question.
I have 2 computer controlled advance HEI's in my garage. Can I convert them to a conventional HEI? Thanks.

I used to do these, by changing the module over to the old style......works the best.

well, maybe I didn't then..............I was taking the ones from my 87 trucks, with the 2 seperate plugs on them and converting them to the older style with the one plug to the cap......

I think the only thing they can bu used for it to make a primer tool out of them.

Depending on what year and model HEI you have, some don't even have mechanical or vacuum advance.....that was all controlled by the computer.

Beast388, that's what they are. There is no vacuum advance.

I would bet that they cannot be converted then. Older HEI's are easy to come by....so I would go that route.
