Rather than spend $200 with ORD, I decided to make my own and spend the money elsewhere. These are definitely overkill, I know. I did use the ORD greasable bushings to help reduce binding and hopefully soften the ride a little more. If I measured right, it should give me 3"-4" lift to match the 2 1/2" lift springs on the front to give a level ride.

great work.....how far from say the bottom of the frame is the mounting location??

It is close to where it was before, just turned the other way.

Nice welds and nice quality work. I was wondering the same thing about metal thickness, couldn't you make it out of the same thickness metal as the original hanger matrl? I want to make a set but was going to downsize metal thickness. Any thoughts ? Jim

Should be vertical if my measurements are correct.

As far as metal thickness, I had 1/8 or 1/4, so I went heavier just to make sure.

ORD hangers are $185 + shipping. They make quality stuff and I have no interest at this time competing against them. This was just an easy part to make so I decided to go ahead and make them.

I am going to build my own shakle flip too. Might build it more like DIY4X.com's with a bushing in the flip and bar shakles like the ones on the front. Anyways, I measured on the rig but wanna confirm if you remember the bolt hole spacings. Looks to be 5.5" wide center to center and 2.25" vertical C to C. How far down from a measuing point did you take your shakle mounting hole to? Thank!!!

I don't know much about them, but that is nice looking. Would this help level out the Blazer? My front end sits a little higher than the rear and would like to level it. It has 3 or 4 inch blocks in the back right now. Thanks, Jeff.

If you have 4" lift up front, you need another 1" - 1 1/2" to level it out. Shackle flips are much safer than blocks. You could use ORD flip kit with their zero rate 1" spring and get it close to level and get rid of unsafe blocks.

It will be part time daily driver, part time business card for my new business. 2 1/2" lift springs up front, shackle flip out back roughly 4". 400hp LT-1, 4l60e auto, twist machine paddle shifter, 17 or 18 wheels, 33" tires. I will be starting one the body repairs and modifications in the next few weeks once I have the chassis back on the ground.
