68 Chevy front fenders.....what matches - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 68 front clip that I am going to use in a future project. One fender has some damage. I have several other fenders in my collection....what other year fenders will work and still be able to use the front end of the 68?
I thought that any 67-72 GMC fenders would work...is that true?

68 -72 GMC fenders will have the turn signal cutout you need, otherwise 68 chevy is your only other choice. If you're "shaving" the markers, 67's of either make will work too

I checked with a source at Goodmark and he said..........

1967-68 Chevy and 1967-72 GMC fenders interchange, but 1967 originally did not have side markers.

1969-72 Chevy fenders are different and do not interchange with GMC.

This is what I thought.......sound right to yall?

Ooops, yeah, I worded my post kinda confusing. I meant to say that the 68-72 gmc fenders will fit a 68 chevy with the turn signals in them, but the only chevy fender that will fit will be the 68 with turn signals and of course the 67's of both models will interchange with your '68, just no turn signal.

69-72 chevy are for 69-72 chevy only

There are a few old trucks around here....International is not mine.
1972 4x4 short, fleet, AC, tach, tilt....restored about 15 years ago..very nice
1972 3/4 ton, 2x4, dual AC, tilt, Suburban.. throttle body/700R4...nice ride
1966 2x4 short fleet..hot rod....very nice
1972 4x4 Blazer....in progress....rough but street legal
1972 2x4, long fleet, highlander, AC truck running driving...used as yard truck
1972 GMC 5500 Dump truck..new running gear and interior..needs paint
1970 short fleet 2x4, AC...complete parts truck
1968 long fleet 2x4......running parts truck
1972 GMC short fleet.....parts truck..was big block...running ger gone

There all fun!!!
