Intermittent Wipers
Has anyone installed intermittent wipers? Is there a kit anyone sells? Certain models that will work well?

Re: Intermittent Wipers
I had a kit I made when I was in school (when I got my AS in Electronics) using a 555 timer and a potentiometer for variable speed. I would think that would be the easiest rather than retrofititng something.

Re: Intermittent Wipers
LMC sells a kit for this. This is neither an endorsement or a condemnation of said company. But for what it's worth, I don't buy from them ... but I do subscribe to their catalog for the exploded views.

Re: Intermittent Wipers
Putter's setup looks cool, but for $13, you can have this. This is a lot like the setup I had in my VW Bug, only I built it myself for a lab project Freshman year. Cut the shaft to length and mount the stock knob on it and your done. Depending on the level of resistance used, you can make whatever delay points you want.

I will have Putter's on mine, installed during my cookout, by the end of October

Re: Intermittent Wipers
I scored one at the "Chickenwingding 06" but my truck has pretty much been down since then, so I haven't installed it yet.

Re: Intermittent Wipers
I put the cable driven wipers with intermittent from Specialty Power Windows. I wish I had known about Putters at the time. Could have saved alot of money and work. I still feel dumb for spending so much on a simple thing
