Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
Why not get BFG 10.50/33s or I think they make 9.50/33s,too.

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
Run a set of later model factory rally's and you'll be fine.
4" back spacing seems to be the magic number. |

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
If you can wait a little longer, I got 15" ralleys that I won't be using much longer, with just under 1 year old BFG AT 33X10.5X15. I'll try to get some pics.

Aren't Jeep Wagoneer wheels 5 Lug? Your K series truck should be 6 lug.

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
I have a '71 Jimmy K/1500 [same as K/5 Blazer] that is the stock height -- not lifted-- and I run 33x12.50R15LTs on 15 x 10 chrome spoke wheels. Don't need a lift. I just got a new set of Dunlop A/T Radial Rovers today. [My old tires were blowing out like water balloons] They don't rub, even in a tight turn.
I also used to have a '67 K/10 Suburban, again with 33x12.50R15s on 15 x 8 white spoke wheels. If it was really loaded down I'd get some rubbing in the rear wheelwells when at speed on twisty mountain roads. [Stock Stance] But usually it was fine.

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
Try to find my favorites.Stock center 8x15 rims. You can keepthe stock look while adding some beef. They were used, most recently,on CUCV Blazers. But,have been around forever.

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
i figured old leafs + blocks = break or sag
and body lift is out till i need engine space (also body lift looks cheap and unsafe) |

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
Where are you in Florida, you should put the city in your profile.
BTW I used to run 15x8 Turbine wheels with 33x12.50 and no lift on an old Blazer I used to have. No problems.

Re: 72 w/ stock rims and 33"s
That`s the ones.I`d like to get a set for my shortbed.
If you want to stay stock,as in not wide tires, there are 6-lug 16" wheels that these trucks came with as an option. You can mount 285/75s of 255/85s on them. Is there still a 4wd lift/tire combo sticky? As for lift...spring lifts give new springs to an old truck.A no-brainer,unless your truck has been real pampered. As for blocks,I have no problem with 2".I`ve never had a problem with 4" blocks for that matter. There`s alot of hype about axle-wrap.If I was on a magazine budget recieving parts for free or nearly nothing,I`d do everything like the mags,I guess.
