Picked up my IFS this week!
Hey y'all it's true! I'm back from a 1,520 mile trip and have my Hub-to-Hub IFS from Martz Chassis Engineering!
I am going to try and attach a photo here, So I hope it works! The trip was great! I also picked up another '57 Chevy Hood and - a much sought after - pair of rear bumper brackets! Meeting Gary Martz was great! And his shop is SUPER! He has a lot going on - He was building a lot of chassis stuff while I was there - including a full frame and suspension for a '34 Chevy, a new front suspension for a '62 Vette, and a complete stainless steel suspension for a "30's something" Cord. The Cord was cool. It was a hardtop coupe that had been "chopped" and it will be an awesome ride for somebody! Once I get rested up from the trip, I will be pulling my engine out and going for the IFS install. Gary Martz was very helpful, and gave me a lot of pointers plus a full set of written instructions. Believe me, the IFS I have is heavt duty. All 1/4 inch steel components and custom made spindles (no bolted-up brackets like the other Mustang clones). I think I made the right choice of IFS builders. I will keep adding more photos as I get time. See ya! rico_bob
