Re: The 72 Is Bacl On The Road!!! pics inside

Looks good. Very nice work. I have two questions. One is the brake booster. What year is that & did you have to modify the bolt pattern to fit? I have one off a late model blazer that has a wider bolt pattern on the bottom.??
Next is the gas filler you have where did you purchase it and what did it cost?
I see you used the poly tank does that have 1 1/2" outside diameter? How difficult was that to figure out? Starting on my tank install on the shortbed soon as I can get my bed lined out.

Re: The 72 Is Bacl On The Road!!! pics inside

the brake booster is from a 92 chev truck, had to redrill 2 holes and extend the rod to make it work, the fuel tank is a steel one, coated with bedliner spray, the fuel door hardware is from a 90's truck, just welded the base(splash guard i guess it's called) of it to the my bed and picked up a fuel door from ebay, made an adapter to fit the 1 1/2" neck on the tank

Looks good to me! I like your fuel door, it almost looks like it came like that from the factory. Nice attention to detail.

Looks really good.....Black is very critical of poor bodywork and looks pretty darn straight in the pics.

How's 1st gear with the 700 and 3.73 gears?

Just curious, cuz that's my setup, but haven't driven it yet.

thanks for the feedback guys, it really makes it worth it when you get great comments after a restoration, SactoJim, the 373's make it pull really hard of the line when the tires will actually hook up

Very nice job. I echo the complement on the filler --

I love the interior -- comfy and clean without being busy.

Super job on the truck. One question, it looks like the raised ribs of the bed floor curve around the gas tank door. How did you do that?

That looks great! Motivation for sure.

I haven't driven my truck in 6 weeks and it's killing me. Waiting for parts sucks, but it's all worth it in the end.
