no my friend STU is a great crawdad hunter from way back in the day and his truck broke down on the way to the creek, he wanted to know if i could come and get him and his crawdads!

Well, probably more in the '67 because it's a fleetside, and the longstep bed has big holes in the lumber.
 I'm guessing I would max out the weight rating before I would fill the bed, but weight ratings are for sissies.  Note: Always practice safe hauling.

CRAWDADS
Wonderful little lobster looking things that are great tasting, I used to put them in CHILE, and everything else, that was before i moved to this desert. I wonder if I could use SCORPIONS in place of CRAWDADS.

crawfish, mudbugs, allthe same.i dont know about how many in my truck, but i know ive eaten about 30 pounds at a sitting, that only about one little grocery abg full, so i would say......mayby 10000 lbs?

I calculate I could get about 70,000 one oz. crawdads in my 1998 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy if I only put them in the bed of the truck. My guess is that I would also need 3 foot sideboards I guess I could get a few more in the cab, but then I would pabably want to sell my truck afterwards. As far as I know, there have never been any crawdads in my truck, but I'll be on the watchout for them.

I don't eat crawdads.I just cain't bring myself to eat something with more legs than a spider.I've often wondered "What was going thru your mind?" when thinking of the first person who ever picked up a crawdad and thought Hmmm this looks tasty I think I'll just pop one in my mouth.

ITS CRAWFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!! not crawdads, were known for them here and thats the correct way, heheh, if you dont like them, or cant eat at least 4 or 5 pounds of them, you get shot twice in teh head and thrown in a river, happens all the time down here

how do u all cath these?
I cant seem to cath them at all. I even went diving today for them at the river couldnt catch them. I bought this little trap but doenst work worth $H@T. What do you all use for bait and what trap design? |

Why are they called crawfish? They look nothing like a fish. Anyways, I don't remember what we used for bait, but we used window screen and coat hangers to rig up a flat net of sorts. When they'd crawl on it we'd pull it up. In Colorado, the're called crawdads. (Not saying that's right, just what we call them here).

I wouldn't eat anything that comes out of my local river, but that's because we have a lot of pollution from old coal mines around here and the water turns bright orange when it rains heavily.
I was right, the people who frequent this board are all completely and certifiably insane! Check your exhausts for leaks under the cab, you've all been sucking too much carbon monoxide!! Can't wait to visit over there for a holiday/road trip next year. (gonna come over with an empty suitcase to bring back a load of parts, just don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm gonna take some clothes!)
